It shall contain not less than of decanol (c 1sh 38o) and not less than 90.0% of the sum of decanol (C1SH340) and decanol (C18H3R0).Cetearyl alcohol (cetostearyl alcohol) is an emulsifying and stabilizing wax produced from the reduction of plant oils and natural waxes. Also used as an emollient and to give high viscosity to a finished product. Cetearyl alcohol is a mixture of fatty alcohols consisting primarily of cetyl and stearyl alcohols.Cetearyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol. Cetearyl alcohol is widely used in steroid creams, emollients and cosmetics. Cetearyl alcohol are used in cosmetics, plastics, leather, textiles, synthetic detergents and other industries.
